Caryl Thomason Price has been singing almost all of her life – literally. Her first ‘recording’ was at 22 months of age, singing at home with her family, and she’s been beltin’ out the songs ever since! With her deep, rich, soulful voice and technical mastery, she brings life into her love of jazz standards.
Caryl is classically trained, earning a degree in music from Furman University, and still performs in classical recitals, operas, and other works in that genre. Recently she has re-discovered a love for those jazz standards that she grew up hearing in her home. She found herself getting so excited listening once again to great artists such as Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra, and Johnny Mercer, and knew this was a journey that she had to begin.
Singing jazz standards has changed Caryl’s life, brought her closer to what really feeds her musically, and gives her a connection with her audience that is genuine and heartfelt. Her album, You Go To My Head, will touch all your emotions, put a smile on your face, and make you very glad you entered into her world!
